Lavender Marriage does not independently confirm every detail provided by members. Information such as age, sexual orientation, religion, occupation, marital status, location, intentions, and personal background should be verified independently before making important decisions.
Meet in a public place
For a first meeting, choose a busy public location. Avoid isolated places and do not invite someone to your home too quickly.
Tell someone you trust
Share your meeting location, time, and the person’s basic details with a trusted friend or family member. Keep your phone charged and arrange your own transport.
Be cautious with money
Do not send money, gifts, bank details, OTPs, passwords, or financial documents to another member simply because you met them through the platform.
Verify important claims
Profile details are self-declared. Independently verify anything important, such as age, marital status, occupation, location, intentions, or other personal claims.
Protect your privacy
Avoid sharing your home address, workplace details, identity documents, passwords, or other sensitive information until trust has been built.
Watch for red flags
Be cautious if someone pressures you, asks for secrecy, avoids clear answers, changes their story, requests money, threatens you, or makes you feel unsafe.
You can stop at any time
You never owe anyone a reply, meeting, relationship, or explanation. Block or end communication whenever you feel uncomfortable.
Report suspicious behaviour
Use the platform’s report option for harassment, scams, impersonation, threats, discrimination, coercion, or other unsafe conduct.
In an emergency
If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person nearby. Lavender Marriage cannot provide emergency assistance.
A healthy connection should feel respectful
You deserve honesty, consent, dignity, and clear communication. Pressure, manipulation, fear, secrecy, or financial demands are not signs of a safe connection.
